Health, Safety, and Environment Policy

PT Yahentama Persada is an Oil and Gas Services company in Indonesia. We provide a comprehensive of integrated and drilling services to meet the needs of domestic and international customers.

Health, Safety, and Environment is a part of PT Yahentama Persada’s management system, and all of our activities should as a minimum, comply with relevant and applicable local laws and regulations, and our own group Health Safety and Environmental requirements.

We are mandated to continually improving performance within specified areas in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Annual targets for KPIs will be established in order to correctly monitor and subsequently take corrective action, where necessary.
We shall, as primary objectives:

  • Prioritize the welfare of our employees by ensuring a good and acceptable working environment that is proven to be secure and safe.
  • Operate and maintain our facilities in a way that prevent fire accidents and incidents thus adding to the secure environment
  • Prevent Pollution, Injury and Work-related Illnesses
  • Promote employee’s physical and mental health
  • Protect Life and Property
  • Improve the efficiency of energy usage by encouraging the activities of wise energy usage
  • Reduce pollution, waste water and chemical spillage

PT Yahentama Persada’s management, at every level committed to allocate necessary resources in order to achieve HSE objectives. This will include the continuously training, educating and motivating all our employees in order to increase competence and awareness. This policy should be known and implemented by all employees, and available to the public on request.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL

Policy and Management Commitment

Our goal in this policy is to eliminate a contributing factor to some work place accidents by adapting a proactive approach to both drugs and alcohol / drugs use is known to be a major cause of many traffic and industrial; accidents and the company believes that there is no place at work for drugs and alcohol or people affected by them.

All employees and third party employees for the company are obligated to be in a fit state for work and to work safely. The use of alcohol and/or drugs with result in a person not being able to perform their job safely is a breach of this duty of care.

The company strictly prohibits its employees and third party employees from being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs or controlled substance during work time or whilst at work whether on company property or customer / supplies premises or workplaces. Moreover, the company strictly prohibits any visitor or contractor from being on company premises whiles under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs or controlled substances.

The use, possession, transfer or sale of drugs (or drug-related paraphernalia) or controlled substance by employees or third party employees during working time or whilst at work whether or company property or customer / supplies premises or workplaces is prohibited. This prohibition also applies to visitors or contractors whilst on company premises.

Any employee or third party employee found in violation of this policy will be subject to discipline up to and including termination. Any visitor or contractor found in violation of this policy will be refused entry into or removed from Company premises. Depending on the circumstances, other action, including notification of proper law enforcement agencies, may be taken against any violators of this policy.

Any employee, third party employee, visitor, or contractor who is using medically prescribed drugs that can affect their performance at work must inform his/her supervisor or appropriate company representative at the beginning of the work day and provide medical proof of the need to use the substance and that it will not affect the safety of the workplace.

In support of this policy the company reserves the right to test employees or third party employees for drug/alcohol usage for reasons deemed appropriate by the Company including, but not limited to, the following:

  • As part of pre-employment/post job offer
  • For reasonable suspicion
  • After an accident
  • As part of a random drug testing
  • When transferring to a safety sensitive and/or supervisor position
  • When mandatory due to legislative or customer requirements
  • As part of periodic/routine physicals
  • When returning to duty after being tested positively for drug and/or alcohol
  • As a follow-up from previous issues

Screening levels for the above test will be the ones use for the company pre-employment physicals.
